St. Ann's Summer Youth Camp is a Catholic summer camp run for the youth of the Turtle Mountain Indian Reservation in Belcourt, North Dakota. This day camp is held on the property of St. Ann's Church & Parish, run by the members of the religious community of the Society of Our Lady of the Most Holy Trinity (S.O.L.T) along with its many invaluable volunteers.
St.
Ann's summer camp servers over 200 young Native American campers every summer. The camp provides these children with a safe and loving environment, an opportunity to hear and experience the love and power of God through his Church, and a chance to build firm and lasting relationships with others. Each camp session lasts 2 weeks and each day is 7 hours.
St. Ann's Camp strives to love an form the whole child, both physically and spiritually in Christ. Challenging activities, teachings on Catholic spiritual growth, games, songs, sports, camp fires, archery, canoeing, and especially opening our lives to God through the Eucharist, praise and worship in Adoration, and the Sacrament of Confession, are the primary means we use to minister to the youth.

Beyond serving the youth, St. Ann's camp also provides a valuable service to the Turtle Mountain Community and to the volunteers that serve here.
-
In the last several years since its creation in 1998, St. Ann's Camp has brought in camp volunteers from within the community and throughout the world. Some volunteers have come from Canada, Cayman Islands, Africa, Lithuania, England and the U.S.
-
The presence of many young volunteers enrich the community, while also giving the volunteer a unique and wonderful opportunity to spend their summer here in North Dakota.

| Volunteers are not all we need to run St. Ann's Summer Camp, we also need money! Camp supplies, food, wages, housing for the volunteers all cost money. In the past St. Ann's Camp relied on grants, which are no longer available. The Summer Camp advisory committee would like to establish a coalition of community organizations and community members able to donate annually to the St. Ann's Summer Camp. Annual donations will provide a base of stable funding. These donations will assist in defraying the costs, and even keep our Summer Camp going every summer. If you desire to become a sponsor through a grant or donation, please give us a call at (701) 477-5601 or write to us at: St. Ann's Summer Youth Camp, P.O. Box 2000, Belcourt, North Dakota, 58316 |
